Are there any plans for a fleet battle mode

    I wa thinking it would be really fun if like there was a game mode where it was kinda like hourglass except it was 2 ships vs 2 ships or even better a galleon with 2 brigantines and a sloop vs another team if the same ships

    But from the past complaints, nobody likes having to fight multiple ships :p

    Instead of the "fight bigger ships/crews" option for champion I think that should be reworked to "Fort battle".

    Which is where they take 3 champions and load them around a fort (including a non active FotD)

    3 ships fight for a piece of the key. A piece of the key to the vault drops when a boat is sunk and merged out. Last ship standing puts the pieces together and unlocks the vault. Red sea area around the fort just like HG now. Stationairies are in play, kegs from the island. Anything goes. 3rd parties can get involved. Add new treasure that is seadog treasure. Sold to an NPC at the arena place.

    Having it attached to champion helps maintain HG participation and keeps the forts an earned challenge and may help keep the quality of the battles a bit higher. Keeps out loss farming and such.

    Would be a lot of fun while bringing in a lot more adventure design into the multi-ship battle pvp.

    Everyone in the fort battle gets a nice bump in rep for getting to that point and participating, 1st 2nd 3rd rep.

    The difficulty of that varies depending on a few factors but in general it at least shows some commitment to the content.

    I believe what they are saying is that they want something like 2v2 and 3v3, etc.

    That's exactly what they did, and Arena closed because of it. Only 2% of a player's time was spent there, not worth the cost to keep the server going, so Rare pulled the plug.
