How to refresh eSIM cellular data plan on iOS devices
An eSIM enables the users to activate their mobile plan from the network provider without the need for a physical SIM. With the help of the “Update eSIM” action provided by Hexnode, IT admins can activate/update the eSIM cellular plan on the managed iOS devices remotely.
Notes:
The “Update eSIM” action is only supported on iOS 13.0 or later.
Update eSIM
- Log in to your Hexnode portal.
- Navigate to Manage > Devices.
- Select the device.
- Navigate to Actions.
- Click on “Update eSIM”.
- Add the eSIM (SM-DP+) server URL provided by the network operator. This URL will be queried to download and install the cellular plan profiles to the iOS device.
- Click on Update.
