disable teams notification when a user is added
Hello world, Whenever i add somebody as member to a team(Using Graph APIs). A notification is displayed on the screen of the newly added member. The business requirement states that this member is to be added and removed multiple times in a day and I don't want the user to get frustrated by all the notifications he will get. Is there a way i can add a user without him getting a notification on teams? This teams group is security enabled and we are trying to control the access that a user has by adding and removing him from this teams group. Thanks in advance, Anubhav6.2KViews1like3CommentsTeams is unable to access your calendar
I started the below error on a lot of computers today. My co-worker did not get the error UNTIL he updated to the same version of Teams as me You have Microsoft Teams version 25072.1609.3541.7814. You've got the latest version. It was last checked on 4/7/2025. The issue is with multiple windows 11 users and their local teams installation. Brand new issue and trust me I'm the admin there were no changes by me. (in Exchange or Teams) I've run the Exchange connectivity test (ok) The MS remote connectivity test fails with this error Make sure user has Exchange Web Services EWS and REST API protocols enabled. The Microsoft 365 Teams Calendar App diagnostics referenced in the link requires a Microsoft 365 admin account to be executed This worked Friday, it does this today. What changed?783Views3likes9CommentsAnyone else intermittently losing the Immersive Space (3D) option off of the View menu?
Anyone else having this issue? I've been doing a lot in Teams Immersive Spaces. It has worked in New Teams for most of the year. I've demonstrated it in front of live audiences successfully for most of the year too. Until about two weeks ago. I was in front of an audience, went to show them how it works on a Business Standard tenant I've had for about 10 months, and boom, no Immersive Space (3D) on the View menu. I have all the right settings, the right licenses, and it has been working fine until now. It doesn't matter if I am doing a "meet now" or a scheduled meeting. Alone, or with others invited. I've made sure my version is up to date. I've removed and reinstalled Teams, I've tried it with other accounts, I've done a reset and a repair. I've rebooted the computer. I've tried it on other Windows 11 machines with Teams. I have an enterprise tenant, also was able to use Immersive Spaces in Teams, that also has this issue using the clients on my computers. It is intermittent. Some of my friends who tried it for me, can see it on the menu (including on the Mac), some can't. It often works once, then the Immersive Space (3D) menu item then disappears, and even a quit and restart of Teams won't bring it back. It does seem to be more dependable on the Mesh admin trial licenses than the paid for Teams Premium licenses for some reason. Not sure if that's a red herring, but I thought I'd mention it. Also, occasionally, the users I invite (if I do a scheduled meeting and not a meet now), will show up briefly as unknown, when they've had the right licensing for a while, but this disappearing menu item thing happens even with no one else invited. Anyone else having this issue with Teams? Have you found a fix? I've just really gotten people comfortable using the feature, and now it's not dependable.162Views2likes1CommentTeams Mobile App for Android Showing Unread Chats which is wrong
It was 1 unread chat that I could not get rid of and now it's 2. There are NO unread chats (I've gone through literally every single one and opened them, there is nothing in bold). I've cleared the cache for the app. Is the only fix for this to keep signing out then back in for my account? I've logged onto teams.microsoft.com and there are no unread chats. The app is also missing a lot of chats.Solved40KViews8likes41CommentsBring back the default Teams windows buttons
Hi, Teams integrated a new button which hides the default Close and Minimize buttons. Now you have to do 2 clicks in stead of one, each time over and over again. This is another example of very bad UX design in Teams. Please bring back the default buttons.3Views0likes0CommentsHide bar at top of teams sharing
Hi all When I share my screen in meetings it involves using a browser i.e. I`m presenting things using google chrome. I get a bar asking me to change my screen size/settings etc on teams. It's frustrating because I have to click away or wait a moment. Is there a way to stop this from appearing?? thanks!Solved440KViews53likes136CommentsCannot delete organisation from Teams
Hi, It appears to be impossible to delete an organization from Teams Please see the picture below. I am unable to remove the organization beginning with L. I have used my personal email for many years, so I should be the one in control of it! I am the owner/ admin of the email account. However there is no way to delete the rogue /linked organization to which I no longer have access. How can I take back full control of my email/Teams account and remove this rogue organization? I've clicked on everything I can find and nowhere else mentions this organization. Clicking on the organization in Teams just takes me to a page saying "Microsoft Teams Free (Classic) is no longer available" with options to upgrade. I don't want to upgrade I want it deleted! Hello, Is there anyone here who has migrated data such as messages/channels/webhooks from Rocket.Chat to Microsoft Teams? If so, could you roughly describe how the migration process went, what tools you used, or if everything had to be done manually?360Views0likes1CommentBulk deploy the Teams auto start setting
In the blog post announcing the release of the TeamsBootstrapper.exe utility for deploying the New Teams client for Windows, it references an upcoming "auto start support" feature where the utility could be used to configure Teams to automatically launch when new users sign in for the first time. It's been over a year and there has been no update on this. I posted a comment on the blog post last week but there has been no response. Has this new feature been abandoned? Is there another supported way to do this? (Can I just mount C:\Users\Default\NTUSER.DAT and throw a value in Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce pointing to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_25072.1609.3541.7814_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\ms-teams.exe ?)49Views0likes0CommentsCreate a list of clickable links to posts in a Teams channel
Hi all In a Teams channel we post tips about Microsoft 365. I want to create a list of those tips with links to the tips. I have tried using Microsoft Lists which looks good and I can categorise each tip ... but clicking on the link doesn't work. The link tries to open Teams .... which it is already. I'm working in user adoption so I don't want solutions that add more clicks. I'd just like for users to be able to click on the link and they go to the tip. The link does work (after a hesitation) if you click on it from SharePoint. But I don't want people to have to open the list in SharePoint. It defeats the object. Also, the export to Excel option to capture the links from the List doesn't work either; the export just shows plain text and not the link. I'll find a way with OneNote or a PDF .... but if anyone has the answer with a List which is theoretically the best option, I'd love to know.1.9KViews0likes2CommentsGrouping chats into folders?
Hi All, Just upgraded to 'new' Teams.... and to be honest was hoping that maybe we would finally be able to group chats into folders (or similar) - but no - nothing really seems any different! Is there any chance at some point we can group chats? At present you have a never ending long list of past chats - which is super unusable! All we can do is Pin the most important as favourites.34KViews42likes16CommentsTeams pulls up main window after switching application windows during a meeting
I hope I can explain this properly, please let me know if it isn't clear. OS: macOS Sonoma Teams version: 24277.3502.3161.3007 When I am in a Teams call, I will often need to temporarily switch windows to Chrome or another application. When I tab back to the Teams call, the Main Teams window will pop up on top of the call, which requires me to minimize it in order to view the call window. I haven't been able to find a setting that addresses this specifically. Simplified steps: Join a Teams call from the the primary Teams window or Outlook calendar Switch applications to something else - Slack, Chrome, etc. Click the Teams icon in the dock The Teams call will take focus The Teams main window automatically pops up overlays the call, hiding it Thanks in advance for your help and please let me know if there is anything I can clarify.925Views14likes8Commentsfile upload option disappearing in teams bot
We have Teams bot (we're the developer). When users first start teams, they have the file upload option available under the + button next to the type a message box. However, shortly afterwards, this option disappears. Not all users, just some. Seems to occur for both Mac and Windows users. Our manifest looks like this: { "$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/json-schemas/teams/v1.19/MicrosoftTeams.schema.json", "manifestVersion": "1.19", "version": "1.0.7", "id": "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx", "developer": { "name": "example", "websiteUrl": "https://www.example.com", "privacyUrl": "https://www.example.com/privacy", "termsOfUseUrl": "https://www.example.com/privacy" }, "icons": { "outline": "example_mono.png", "color": "example_portrait.png" }, "name": { "short": "example", "full": "example, your digital assistant" }, "description": { "short": "example is a digital AI assistant designed to streamline your workflow.", "full": "example is an advanced AI-powered professional assistant developed by example, crafted to enhance productivity and efficiency in the workplace. With a focus on accuracy and a professional demeanor, example assists with information retrieval, scheduling, communication, and various tasks, ensuring that you have more time to focus on what matters most in your business." }, "accentColor": "#fb9745", "bots": [ { "botId": "yyyyyyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyyyyyyyyyy", "scopes": [ "personal" ], "isNotificationOnly": false, "supportsFiles": true, "commandLists": [ { "scopes": [ "personal", "team" ], "commands": [ { "title": "New", "description": "Starts a new conversation" } ] } ] } ], "permissions": [ "identity", "messageTeamMembers" ], "webApplicationInfo": { "id": "yyyyyyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyy-yyyyyyyyyyyy", "resource": "https://RscBasedStoreApp" }, "validDomains": [ "*.ngrok-free.app", "*.ngrok.app", "exampledev.ngrok.app" ] } ``` As far as I can see from the current manifest schema, the bot needs no other scopes. Is this a known bug or are we screwing something up with the config? Any help appreciated!133Views0likes12CommentsBluetooth audio out stops when using Teams
Hi everyone. I have a pair of Taotronics Soundliberty 79 earbuds. They've pair fine with my laptop running Win 10 and work for listening to music. I've also tested joining a Google Meets meeting and audio works fine in both directions. However, when I join a MS Teams meeting after a minute or two I can no longer hear audio through my earbuds, but the microphone continues to work and others can hear me. I need to go to device settings in Teams and switch to PC speaker/mic then back to the earbuds to restore audio which only lasts a couple of minutes before dropping out again. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?Solved165KViews10likes68CommentsI cannot zoom in or zoom out with microsoft Teams now?
I am using version "25060.205.3499.6849" I used to be able to use ctrl + mouse scroll or ctrl + = to zoom in, as if I am using a Brower. Somehow I can't do it anymore? Even when I click on the three dots on the top-right side and click on keyboard shortcuts, I still see "Zoom in" and "Zoom out" shortcuts there, but they literally don't work?13Views0likes0Comments
