What change would like to see?

The font size pref should also change the serial monitor font size.

Why?

Accessibility! Users with limited vision require a larger font size. Arduino has this capability for the editor. But how useful is the whole system if the serial monitor isn't as accessible?

Would this cause any incompatibilities with previous versions? If so, how
can these be mitigated?

Shouldn't cause any problems.
