C&C games - "Failed to launch game" error
Greetings, EA support told me to post here as they have no fix currently for this issue nor any other troubleshooting steps to try. (Case #207569798). Also, via the "EA error reporter" (within the EA app) I submitted a report which has the report ID: "b5282740-5a98-41a4-aa8e-f605b90ce194". I'm using Windows 10 Home (22H2 OS Build 19045.5737), fully updated, and EA app v13.437.0.5950 (94974-56e58c512c). On a non-admin Windows session, C&C3, C&C4 Tiberium Twilight and C&C Red Alert 3 will launch via EA app (ran as admin), but not: 1) C&C and The Covert Operations; 2) C&C Generals and Zero Hour; 3) C&C Red Alert; 4) C&C Red Alert 2; 5) C&C Renegade and; 6) C&C Tiberian Sun and Firestorm. Those six C&C games will all produce the error in the EA app: "Failed to launch game. An error occurred on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." when attempted to be launched (as described above). These nine C&C games will launch without any problem from the EA app on the admin session. Launching straight C&C95.exe from C&C and The Covert Operation install folder on non-admin session, with or without admin rights, will run the game just fine in both cases, but the EA app can't launch it! EA support confirmed games should run when launched from EA app on non-admin Windows session. sfc /scannow and dism /online cleanup-image /scanhealth scans have been run. EA app cache was reset. EA app was reinstalled (CCleaner + manually deleted EA related folders in ...\AppData\local, locallow and roaming). All Microsoft Visual C++ versions are up-to-date and were repaired. Graphic driver is up-to-date. Booting with all non-Windows services disabled didn't allow games to boot. Games were repaired. Games were reinstalled (CCleaner + del local, locallow, roaming...). Both the games and EA app directories have all permissions on the non-admin Windows session (right-click folder > Properties > Security tab > Advanced > Permissions). Creating a new local user account on the PC and launching these six C&C games via the EA app (ran as admin) also produces the error. Fully disabling UAC on admin session sets the UAC on non-admin Windows session to level 3 ("Always notify me (and do not dim my desktop) when:"). Games received new entitlement. Also, the C&C4 Tiberium Twilight, gives the error message "General system error" when trying to connect with my EA credentials. (See the picture below). Any help to get those games running on non-admin Windows session via the EA app will be much appreciated! Regards, Mike P.S. EA support said the "Failed to launch game" issue would be caused when "something in the player PC conflicts with EA app" and "services" could also be the cause. If so, what services needs to be running for C&C and The Covert Operations to run? EDIT: I hypothesized that some of EA app's processes which are running on the admin session would not be running on the local user session and further tested which processes are running on both sessions when launching C&C and The Covert Operations and I identified some differences. Of note, on local user session launching C&C and The Covert Operations from the EA app (ran as admin) have EABackgroundService.exe launching EAGEP.exe, but that latter process fails to launch EADesktop.exe*32 as sub-process and EAGEP.exe simply shuts down a few seconds after being launched. (Please see picture below). Also on local user session, when the EA app is running, it is missing one EACefSubProcess.exe (also refer to the picture below). It seems to me that the issue could lie with the EA app and not the games themselves...
RA3, RA3Uprising, Tiberium Wars, and Kane's Wrath missing map names
C&C3 Tiberium Wars and C&C3 Kane's Wrath have "MISSING" before each custom map after updating TW to 1.10 screenshot and KW to 1.03 screenshot Also, C&C Red Alert 3 and Uprising custom map names do not display after updating RA3 to 1.13 screenshot and RA3Uprising to 1.01 screenshot You can see it in the screenshots. I hope EA will fix this update. Does anyone know a fix?
C&C Generals 2
Did you know EA had C&C Generals 2 ready for over 10 years now? I was in a closed beta testing group for this game, and I loved the game so much! It was the best RTS, imagine GLA in homemade copters. SO many generals to choose from. I played it everyday with my friend. The game was pay-per general model, but it was VERY good, more units then generals 1. I dont understand why they dident release it. The game was finished, EA just needed to put it out there, and it would earn alot of money. Still to this day im thinking about the game, even though it was over 10 years ago. If you guys dont believe its true, just check my screenshot. Would you buy C&C Generals 2 today? Even if it had payed battlepass or pay-per-general? The game is finished so they could release the game if they wanted. Show EA that it would be cool and write your comments on what you think.
Cannot play Command & Conquer Remastered Collection
When I try and play C&C from the EA app the following window pops up: This game requires permissions This game requires administrative privileges. Do you want to grant access and launch the game? After clicking OK, the following window pops up: Failed to launch game An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later. I have tried running the EA app as an administrator, and running ClientLauncherG.exe as an administrator. I log into Windows as a user, but I do know the admin username and password. I am finding others with the same problem, but I have not found a solution other than to modify the .exe to bypass EA app which I shouldn't have to do.
C&C Rivals - iOS Graphics Bug & Needed Balance Updates
Dear EA Community Team, As a dedicated player and financial supporter of Command & Conquer Rivals, I'm reaching out regarding two critical issues affecting the game experience: a persistent visual bug for iOS users and the increasingly stagnant meta due to lack of balance updates. THE VISUAL ISSUE: All Tiberium patches on iOS devices (iPhones and iPads) display a severe glittering/flickering effect as shown in the attached screenshot. This visual glitch makes strategic gameplay difficult as it's challenging to properly assess resource locations during matches. - This issue ONLY affects iOS devices - Android versions of the game display Tiberium correctly - The bug persists across multiple iOS updates and device models - This has been ongoing for about 6 years without acknowledgment THE BALANCE ISSUE: The current meta has grown stale and predictable, with the same units dominating competitive play for too long. We urgently need balance adjustments to: - Address overpowered units that have dominated the meta - Buff underutilized units to create more strategic diversity - Refresh the competitive landscape to keep the game engaging - Introduce counter-play options to current dominant strategies As players who financially support this game through purchases, we deserve both a basic level of visual integrity and regular balance updates to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. The lack of attention to these issues directly impacts player retention and the overall health of the game. Could we please get: 1. Acknowledgment that these issues are being investigated 2. An estimated timeline for when fixes and balance updates might be implemented 3. Communication about the current development priorities for C&C Rivals The C&C community remains loyal to this franchise, but our continued support depends on receiving quality updates and maintenance. We understand development priorities must be balanced, but these fundamental aspects of gameplay should be addressed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Hello, There is a persistent bug with the graphics on C&C Rivals for mobile when playing with iOS device. The Tiberium patches have a glittering effect. This is not an issue on Android devices. Could you please make a fix in the app? Spending money in the game and not having this bug fixed is frustrating. Appreciate the support EA! Screenshot attached.
Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight - In-game login problem.
Ahoj, před pár dny jsem si koupil C&C The Ultimate collection. Nenainstaloval jsem si všechny díly ale pár jich nainstalovaných mám a nemám žádný problém se spuštěním. Až na Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight, hru spustím ale nemůžu se přihlásit. Zadávám správné údaje k EA účtu ale prostě to nefunguje. Divím se že na to ještě nebyl vydaný opravný patch. Hledal jsem všude po internetu nějaký návod nebo radu, ale nenašel jsem nikde nic. Na obrázku v příloze tohle přihlášení funguje. Ale ve hře se mi zobrazuje zpráva "Disconnected" "Please check you internet connection". TRANSLATION: Hi, a few days ago I bought the C & C The Ultimate collection. I did not install all the parts but a few of them installed and I have no problem running. Until Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight, I will start the game but I can not log in. I enter the correct data for the EA account but it just does not work. I'm afraid there was not a patch yet released. I searched for advice or advice anywhere on the internet, but I did not find anything. As shown in the attachment, this login works. But in the game I see the message "Disconnected" "Please check internet connection".
C&C Red alert 3 and C&C Red alert 3 : Uprising
I bought the ultimate collection and there are some games that are lunched by the same icon. For instance, C&C Red alert 3 : Uprising is lunched under the C&C Red alert 3 icon, the main problem is, the version of the C&C Red alert 3 is v1.13 and it cannot be played online. I bought the single game C&C Red alert 3 , and now i lost my C&C Red alert 3 uprising expansion, the only good thing is now my C&C Red alert 3 is on the right version. I need someone to solve this and give me an answer to this issue
command and conquer ultimate collection games won't launch on windows 11
Since I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11, whenever I try to launch a game from command and conquer ultimate collection, lets say Generals. The Origin app would just dissappear and then reappear again but without anything happening. Would appreciate some help here.C&C : Connect to your EA account to activate the game
Hi, after installing the latest update I launched the game as usual and got a message asking me to log into my EA account. I am already logged in. I tried log out- log in again but didn't work, restarting the client neither. I can't click on the E-mail ou Origin ID at the bottom. I'm running Win 10.
