Hello, my name is Sander, short for Alexander. I’m a Principal IoT Architect. For eight times in a row, I’ve been presented with the 2017-2025 Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for my Azure IoT (2017-2025) and Real-Time Analytics (2024-2025) community work. In my daily work, I advise customers regarding IoT projects for Alten Nederland, the consulting and engineering organization for the high-tech sector, and specialize in Microsoft Azure IoT solutions, and for the SDG Group, catalysts of innovation. SDG combines its unique Data & AI approach to business challenges with the synergies and reach of a truly global firm. I am involved with all aspects of the Azure IoT Platform and also Azure in general. I work on IoT innovations where I add IoT value by working together with clients, partners, and the community. For me, it is important to share knowledge because this in turn yields new knowledge. I am committed to this by writing blogs, and articles for magazines, and giving lots of presentations and workshops. I also work together with the Azure IoT product teams on several topics. I’ve been consulted by Microsoft as a Subject Matter Expert.
