The experience of users who want to do more exploration on a drill through page feels too clunky. Here's my scenario, and the limitation I'm running into: I have a Monthly report page, with two card visuals that display my measure "Turnover %". Each card visual has a filter applied on the visual, which filters each to different Job Family Groups. I have a drill through page that gives more information on Turnover. The drill through is via measure my measure, Turnover %. When users drill through, the new page has all the context filters applied from the Monthly page. That includes filters on Date and Job Family Group. Here's the problem - what if users want to do more exploration now that they are on this drill down page? What if they were looking at Job Family Group A, and now want to see Job Family Group B? The drill through filter passed the Last 1 Month (Calendar) filter on Date, what if they want to look at the last 6 months? I have Slicers on the page for Date and Job Family Group. But the drill through filters are passed via the Filter Pane, so the Job Family Group slicer still says "All" despite the Filter Pane having a conflicting filter on "Job Family Group A". I could have a button which creates a bookmark that clears these hidden filters from the Filter Pane. Or I could just forego drill thorugh altogether, and have users just go to a separate page for more detail, where they can apply their slicers there. But I think users should be able to drill through from one page, have the filters reflected in Slicers on the destination drill through page, which they can then adjust if they choose.
