When we restore a Fabric SQLDB it changes the database names which break the ETL and all customers connecting to it.  We then have to ge everyone globally to change the connection string, which means a restore has customer downtime of days.   Can you fix this so that a restore keeps the original database name and doesnt break the connection string ?   Ideally a restore shoudl restore "as was" unless we choose to restore to a different Artefact Name or workspace.     ... Understand that this is just a repurposed forums in some fashion, but would be great to fix up this 'Idea' section a bit with some polish.   What is 'Top Kudoed Posts' - do you mean most upvoted?  (You use 'Votes' everywhere else)   Looking at the first 'Kudoed Post' with 4k upvotes it says "NEEDS VOTES" in all caps.  What?  Needs votes for what, to be considered?  How many votes does it need, is 4k not enough? Lakehouses, and more importantly the data inside them, are not recoverable if the the lakehouse is deleted. There is also no way to recover a prior lakehouse if the data needs to be rolled back to a previous state. BCDR was recently released but is only for capacity disaster recovery and is too cumbersome as it has an extra cost along with deploying in another region. This constrains scenarios such as running frequent updates during weekdays, then slowing down on weekends, or restricting half-hour refreshes to daytime hours. As a workaround, some users add extra pipelines or conditional logic to control time-based execution at the start of a pipeline, but this quickly becomes cumbersome to maintain. Proposed Feature • Allow users to define multiple schedules or a cron-like expression directly within a single pipeline’s scheduling settings. • Enable advanced recurring schedules that span specific day and time windows (e.g., “run every 30 minutes between 6 AM and 8 PM”), as well as once-per-month or custom intervals. • Provide a more intuitive user interface for scheduling multiple time windows without requiring additional pipeline objects or complicated conditional checks. Why This Matters • Reduces overhead of building and maintaining separate “child” pipelines or multiple triggers that only exist to address scheduling constraints. • Prevents complicated parameter and conditional logic in a single pipeline, which can be confusing to debug or update. • Empowers more granular and flexible scheduling (for example, different refresh frequencies on weekdays vs. weekends) without sacrificing readability.
