Scenario. Import a data model into Power BI (say via excel file stored on onedrive). Setup a data refresh on it. Validate that it works. Now make a schema change in the data model (say add a new table). Save the file in the onedrive location. This now breaks the data refresh from the power Bi site. It would be quite common for users to keep updating the model schema as they go. Doing that should not impact the scheduled refresh functionality.

Add some sort of search interface to search for workbooks shared by others in my Power BI tenant. (this would also require adding a "sharing level" when users add a report in Power BI to let the user determine the level to which they want to make their analysis visible to others in their org)

I discovered I could do it via Cut & Paste (even on Web UI, Awesome!!!!) but my initial attempt was to use Drag&Drop. This might make it easier for users that are not familiar with the keyboard. Especially people using WebUI would not have assumed it would work. I only discovered it worked because I know the teams behind PowerBI are awesome 😉

When one Cut&Pastes a visual from one page of a report to another page I noticed that if that visual was pinned on a dashboard the link doesn't get updated to point to the new page. The workaround is to unpin, repin and reposition, but it would be nice if automatic.

Nice to have. I wanted to share my dashboard with a thread we have going in outlook. I was hoping that copy-paste from outlook would work. The text-based paste format is: FirstName LastName ; OtherFirst OtherLast Unfortunately this is not supported and I need to prune the names and < and > characters before I can share.

I would love to temporarily be able to export a powerbi designer file. So I can share with collegues my reports. I have created several reports that I can't seem to share right now as I would have to create 5 dashboards, pin all charts from report to dashboards and then share the 5 dashboards.

i'm running reports from a sharepoint survey site and in order to use Power BI i need to manually pull data in Power BI Desginer, make the queries and upload it in the dashboard. We need Sharepoint as data source. https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/InterFeed/_layouts/15/start.aspx#/default.aspx Basically is the same thing as: http://support.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi/suggestions/6748539-sharepoint-office-365-list-data-source

I am seeing data refresh cannot be scheduled for Excel data source. Is this something that's scheduled for availability? I set the refresh property itself in Excel file (pulls data from TFS), but it doesn't seem to refresh once loaded to Power BI.

We are moving our internal on-prem TFS project to VSO and want to use Power BI as our reporting solution. My understanding is that the VSO team will focus on an oob reporting solution sometime this year. Power BI seems an obvious potential direction.

Currently the delete method does a complete table delete. Would be great to do partial rows deletion , sending a filter condition with the delete request. Enabling much more flexible load/refresh scenarios, even a basic *non optimized* row by row sync. (in the future, be able to use/specify tabular partitions?)

There seems to be an issue having Power BI Designer file being unable to open after it was loaded to dashboard. A better place to post a trouble like this?

The commercial tabular model is used by all of operations and is supported by the commercial BI team (Led by Greg Kaufmann). This would be a great place to access that connection and build reports.

Supply a data flow destination connector for SSIS that'll allow us to push data into PowerBI via the api calls (with options to overwrite/merge/create datasets/tables if they don't already exist) Myself and most BI devs/consultants I know usually aren't the best .net coders, so having a pre-built connector in an ETL tool we know would be a massive time saver. There was a data streaming destination task added for powerbi previously, this could be something similar or maybe a new feature in the existing task: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Publish-SSIS-Packages-as-OData-Feed-Sources-90f9067f-3aa8-48e7-bc85-a8170886e9fb?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
