Epic idea: New list slicer

To address the limitations of our current slicers, which are less advanced and potentially confusing compared to our competitors, a new and enhanced list and dropdown slicer should be designed with a wider range of customization options, incorporating industry best practices, and include innovative features like the ability to copy and paste lists.

Agree. As a workaround, you can duplicate the column, change type to text and use that in the slicer.

'@Anonymous: True, and that is what we did. We just shouldn't have to do that.

Yes! Exact same issue, need to search by ID numbers. Workarounds work but...should be able to search integers

Requested in 2018 and still not there. This should have been there on day 1!

I have a page which users have requested the ability to take a sample of rows for audit checks. This is based on a numeric field. The first problem is I couldn't get a search field working without it being a text field. This means an ugly custom column that uses padding with invisible special characters so the list visually sorts in numeric order. The numbers to filter are generated elsewhere. Having a search box that worked with numerics and is paste aware would both make my users happy in not doing a bunch of fiddly work, and also make my model happy it doesn't have a pointless column in it.

Text attributes can be 'searched' within report slicers. However, integers cannot. For example, if someone wants to quickly find and slice by a Customer Id, it is very cumbersome right now - lots of scrolling. A simple search by Customer Id (as an integer) within the slicer would make it much faster and a better user experience

can we get a custom in-line suffix label?

to get the slicer look like this:

Europe (20)

Asia (18)

Africa (10)

just a simple usability feature missing for years
