Reasons for the request

The ananke project on PyPI appears to be abandoned. It has only one release from nearly 7 years ago and minimal information on its main project page. The page links to a GitHub repository that no longer exists. Additionally, the installation command installs a package named anankesdk rather than ananke.

The one I intend to publish in its place will be our package at https://github.com/athob/py-ananke.

Contact and additional research

I found a related GitHub repository, ananke_sdk, which also shows very little activity (3 commits, one branch, with the latest commit from 7 years ago). The organization that owns this repository has also been inactive for nearly as long.

I have contacted the email address listed on the PyPI project page (which appears to be associated to the only GitHub user that worked on the ananke_sdk repository) to request the transfer of ownership. I am creating this request here in case the email does not receive a response. I will close this issue if I receive a reply.

We are working to contact the owner to determine if they're reachable and have sent them a courtesy message.

Final determination regarding project ownership will be made by the PyPI Administrators when the research process is complete.

The Owner was unreachable and did not get back to us regarding the status of their project despite multiple attempts. Therefore, we consider the project abandoned per PEP 541. I recommend that the PyPI Admins assign @athob as the new owner of ananke.
