Unfortunately, there are several that have been stopped for a long time 😭 |
Hi @danieljoris, We are working to contact the owner to determine if they're reachable and have sent them a courtesy message. Final determination regarding project ownership will be made by the PyPI Administrators when the research process is complete. |

The Specipy project has been abandoned and is no longer being maintained. The last commit was made on June 10, 2015, which is approximately 8 years ago. This lack of activity and maintenance suggests that the project is no longer viable or useful to the community.

Contact and additional research
Before submitting this request, I attempted to contact the owner of the Specipy project via email to inquire about the project's status and to ask if they would be willing to transfer the package name to me. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response.
Given the project's abandonment and the lack of response from the owner, I believe that removing the Specipy project from PyPI would be beneficial for the community, as it would prevent potential issues and allow for a new, actively maintained project to take its place.
