Panel fails to initialise

Sometimes the panel fails to come up when power is applied using.
panel->init();
panel.begin();
lvgl_port_init(panel->getLcd(), panel->getTouch());

It looks like it does when when running an Arduino "Upload" I do not know at what point it fails is there any debug that can be run to determine this.
Has any one else seen this.
