Note: I did testing on LInux Mint, but assume behavior is the same across all Operating systems.

It would be nice if the 2.0 IDE supported clickable links in sketches the same way it did in pre 2.0 IDEs.
It is a bit of a consistency and preference, and usability thing, so not terribly important, since it is still possible to bring up non-local links
(local file links is another issue, that I'll file separately)

Summary:
On pre 2.0, you could just move the cursor to the link text, cursor would change, then just click
On 2.0 you have to move the cursor to the link you must either:

  • wait for a tool tip, then move the cursor again, to click on "Follow Link"
  • Hold <CTRL> then click on the link

The new interface isn't bad, but consistency would be nice and the new interface requires either more mouse motion, or multiple device input in the case of having to use both the keyboard and the mouse.
IMO, the new interface is a bit less usable than the prior way of bring up links given it requires more input from the user to make it happen.
