Students don't have admin rights to install Arduino on school computer, however the non-admin version exits immediately upon execution. The error was "Settings issues: Arduino cannot run because it could not create a folder to store your settings." I think this is the same issue as #4634, and after creating an empty directory named "portable" the program was able to run. So maybe consider adding this directory by default?
