Using Arduino IDE 1.6.6 2015/10/14 10:42 with Windows 7 64 bit

  • add a line of text that is longer than the width of the IDE window with 2 instances of the text to find that are not both visible in the window at the same time:
find this find this
  • Edit>Find>Find: find this
  • Click the Find button multiple times, when the instance of the text to the right is found the window is correctly scrolled but then when it should scroll back to the search string on the left the window is only automatically scrolled back to the end of the search text so the text is not shown in the window without manual scrolling.
